Program objective:
The program aims to prepare educational competencies in the field of technology integration in education, and to build and develop the human resources necessary to build a system that possesses the advanced competencies in the education sector to serve educational and training plans locally and regionally.
Learning outcomes:
A. Knowledge and Understanding
Students are expected to have a range of knowledge, skills and values, including:
- Preparing innovative educational models to provide appropriate solutions to problems raised in the educational field.
- Setting teaching plans based on the use of technology in education.
- Identifying the various mechanisms for integrating technology into education.
- Explaining mechanisms and methods of integrating technology with education and the necessary knowledge in this area.
- Defining the forms and means of modern communication and information technology and their role in the development of the educational process.
B. Intellectual abilities:
Students are expected to have a range of knowledge, skills and values, including:
- solving the problems of the educational environment and developing appropriate solutions using education technology.
- Suggesting the use of appropriate learning technology for each educational situation, and creating new alternatives.
- Explaining the relationship of the educational system to the revolution of communication and information.
- Facing the problems of the educational process with scientific methods through the use of appropriate technology.
- Suggesting innovative methods to employ computers and the Internet in the educational process.
C. Practical Skills:
Students are expected to have a range of knowledge, skills and values, including:
- Using scientific research methods properly.
- Using the modern technology in the educational process in line with the priorities and initiatives e-learning in the schools and educational institutions.
- Using modern education styles, such as e-learning, virtual, and distant learning.
- Applying appropriate skills to develop the learning environment using learning technology.
- Employing the innovations of educational technology in the development of educational and learning process.
- using the research methods in the field of education.
D. General transferable skills
Students are expected to have a range of knowledge, skills and values, including:
- contributing to the preparation and qualification of workers in the educational sector in the field of innovations of technology integration in education.
- The educational approach in its comprehensive systemic concept is presented as a “system”.
- Suggesting technology-based learning methods for self-learning and continuous learning.
- Acquiring communication skills.
- Using the scientific method in facing the problems in their life.
