Education and Culture

Any projects that promote Arabic Digital educational and / or cultural digital content and contribute to:

• Facilitating access to education for all and for lifelong learning
• Promoting safe education to children
• Promoting education for people with special needs
• Developing educational and interactive resources on the Internet using virtual reality and enhanced reality.
• Providing games that serve education and culture
•  Development of technologies that generate Arabic digital content (natural language processing, summary, machine translation, text and speech recognition,...)
• Promoting the preservation of heritage (archeological buildings, folklore), and Arabic cultural diversity and presenting it in line with contemporary reality.

Tourism and the media

Any projects that promote digital tourism and / or media digital content and contribute to:

• Making it easy to find and obtain information about tourist attractions in an updated and interesting way (virtual museums ..)
• Supporting local tourism.
• Providing electronic booking services in hotels, restaurants and transportations.
• Enhancing the role of electronic journalism, social networks and blogs in delivering information accurately and attractively.

Economy and Businesses

Any projects that promote the digital content of economy and business and contribute to:

• Supporting E-commerce.
• Supporting investment in Syria and the national economy.
• Enhancing Banking services for individuals and corporates.
• Enhancing Businesses between businesses B2B, between businesses and Consumer (B2C), and among Consumers (C2C).
• Supporting a secure structure to protect corporates and individuals data.

Community Services

Any projects that promote digital content in community services and interact with citizens and contribute to:

• Facilitating the lives of citizens
• Promoting social awareness and social integration
•  Assisting people with special needs.

The study and evaluation of the projects is carried out by specialized arbitration committees in accordance to a set of standards developed in line with the objectives of the competition.

The projects go through three stages during their participation in the competition:

1. Submission of the project: The application for the participation in the competition is submitted according to a registration form announced on the university’s website and its social media. The application ends in the middle of the fifth month and the nominated projects for the second stage will be announced at the beginning of the sixth month.
2. Training and Project Development: the projects approved by the Scientific Committee will receive intensive three-day training in the field of Entrepreneurship, followed by the development of projects under the guidance of academic and business sector guides. This stage will end at the end of the tenth month.
3. Project delivery and final evaluation stage: Final projects are submitted and interviews are conducted with the competing teams to evaluate them according to the criteria set by the scientific committees.
